All Saints Church at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire
All Saints Church
All Saints church is mostly
13th century and has a crossing tower with transepts still retaining their original
end windows of three stepped lancets. It does retain a Norman south doorway with chevrons on the arch.
The north aisle designed by Bodley was added in 1907-13
as a memorial to the wife of Lord Curzon, Viceroy of India. The upper parts of the
tower are 15th century. A fine
alabaster tomb chest bears effigies of Sir John Curzon, c1490, and his wife. There are also other monuments to the Curzon family.
