Church of St Matthew at Darley Abbey in Derby
The church of St Matthew at Darley Abbey in Derby was built in 1818-19 by Moses Wood of Nottingham for Walter Evans, a local mill owner and industrialist. The chancel was added 1885-1891. Built of stone the church is unaisled with tall slender windows with Perp tracery and angle pinnacles. The west tower is also pinnacled.
The church contains various monuments to the Evans family.
